Northeast Iowa and a concert in Spillville

Formed in 1991 by Robert Křesťan, Druhá Tráva ("Second Grass" in Czech) is one of the most awarded and internationally acclaimed bands in the Czech Republic. Druhá Tráva performs in both the English and Czech language. The band is famous on both sides of the Atlantic for its "Czechgrass" fusion of acoustic, bluegrass, folk and rock.

Druhá Tráva were inspired by, and are commonly compared to, their bluegrass and folk forerunners such as Ricky Skaggs, Peter Rowan, Davy Spillane, Béla Fleck, Johnny Cash, Bill Monroe, Kris Kristofferson and Bob Dylan. They have released over 20 studio albums, as a group or as individual side projects; including collaborative CDs with American stars Peter Rowan and Charlie McCoy.  Albums will be available for purchase. Their latest release DYLAN-OVKY is a compilation of Bob Dylan songs and has been enormously popular throughout the Czech Republic.
